Joar has been working at Cordemeyer & Slager since May 2025. He received his Master’s Degree in Information Law from the University of Amsterdam in 2023. During his studies, Joar focused on IT-related fields of law, while being active at a legal clinic specialised in intellectual property, IT and privacy. He also was a legal intern in the field of information law at various law firms.
Upon completing his degree, Joar worked at a leading academic hospital in Los Angeles where he offered legal advice on privacy and intellectual property on the commercialisation of medical innovation. In addition, Joar worked as a cyber- and privacy consultant at a consultancy firm, being an advisor for diverse organisations on digital risks and compliance.
In his free time, Joar can regularly be found at the gym or cooking for friends and family. He has learned that patience and consistency is the key to success — an insight he applies to his work as a legal professional.
